So I have been playing for maybe 2-3 hours and suddenly when I try to build anything it looks like a trash pile and doesnt begin the building process. Is there a way to fix that?

Interesting. Upgrading construction sites was still possible, but building new sites was not. This morning when i checked in the bug seems to have cleared and i can build new construction sites again. So is the recommendation to just build as many lvl 1 buildings as possible and to not upgrade buildings?
