I lost more than 2,000 items (guns/weapons/clothing) after Update v.2.1.184 (I was over the limit).

On my first login after Update v.2.1.184, I tried to use the Recycler, but it wouldn’t let me because my inventory was at 4357/2000. I closed the game and reopened it a few minutes later, and to my surprise, my inventory had gone from 4357/2000 to 1730/2000. I lost approximately 2,627 items. I noticed that all of these items were from the weapons, gear, and clothing categories. I don’t log in via GitHub; I use Steam.
