In TLS:DZ, Terror Dome runs worked similarly to Union Island where your survivors would remain locked in to the activity until the run is completed. Closing the game allows players to pick up where they left off (from the last completed round). However, in DZR closing the game or being disconnected is considered as abandoning the run and your survivors are simply returned (at the cost of the spent ammo and fuel). Similarly to the reported issue with Union Island, this allows players to simply exit if they want to re-attempt a run for a higher score. Restoring functionality of this feature also has the added side effect of players not completely wasting their fuel for disconnecting mid-run.

Closing the game was dropping an active Terror Dome run. The run was saved, but the player object the client reloads did not include it, so the survivors were released and the fuel and ammo were lost. A run now stays on the task list after a reconnect, and a round that was cut off resumes from the last completed round. It is removed only when the run is finished or bailed out. Runs still open in the database show up again on the next login. This deploys on the next reboot.
